Supervision
Qualifications
I have gained skills and knowledge of the psychological effects of working online with Zoom and telephone counselling. I have knowledge of working ethically and legally within the UK jurisdiction. The qualification I achieved from Counselling Tutor has been mapped to the BACP 2021 online competence framework.
I continued with Counselling Tutor to study an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision. This includes supervising within the online and telephone competences. This training was mapped to the BACP supervision competence framework, the National Counselling Society (NCS) Good practice guide for supervision and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) online supervision competencies. The training follows the guidance set out in the BACP Counselling Supervision Training Curriculum published by BACP Professional Standards.
I qualified in 2014 with my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, where the main focus was Person Centred approach. Since then I have trained in a bereavement centre, worked with children with autism and ADHD where I have gained experience and enthusiasm to study further in these fields to support adults. I am also very enthusiastic working creatively due to experiencing the power of unlocking the unconscious thoughts and feelings using this modem.
How I work
I practised in-house face-to-face supervision within an agency from January 2020. After qualifying with the Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision in February 2021 I have developed my private practice to offer supervision for counsellors working within the UK jurisdiction. I offer either face-to-face or Zoom platform between the hours of 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
