Ray of Light Counselling
Even in the darkest places there is a ray of hope.
My training is from a person-centred approach. This is where we focus on what you want to bring to counselling. Together we work on your thoughts and feelings and what troubles you. I facilitate a safe environment which is non- judgemental and confidential where we can explore your challenges, your strengths and your choices to make positive change.
Further study and training has introduced me to other theories and approaches where I have developed into integrative counselling. I blend and adapt all my training to suit your individual needs. For example we may look at attachment issues from the past or work with creative materials to help unlock or release painful memories.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. (BACP) I work within their ethical framework. As part of this I am to have regular supervision and attend ongoing professional development courses. The aim is to give you the best service possible.
Welcome to my website
Do you sometimes feel so anxious that it takes over your life or depression so deep and dark it’s hard to get out of bed? Is life so stressful or relationships so difficult that it’s a struggle to cope? Have you experienced bereavement and loss where your grief is so intense you feel confusion, numbness, loneliness, shock and anger?
I provide confidential, one-to-one support with adults to work through these emotions and more. I work face to face in Loughton and Dagenham where easy parking is nearby, I also work online with the Zoom platform.
Life can sometimes be described like a rollercoaster with its ups and downs, twists and turns. Occasionally we have peace and calm to reflect and prepare for the next journey round. However sometimes the downs can take us into a dark tunnel where we feel lost and can’t find the way out.
This is where I can meet you, journey beside you and support you through the turbulence. Together we will look at what is holding you back and work out a way forward, search for the Ray of Light that gives hope for a brighter future.
